Japan Bed by Karup Design 160 King Size

The Japan Futon Bed is a classic oriental style, simple line, low level bed which suits rooms with a contemporary minimal style as well as low ceiling area's such as lofts, attic rooms or mezzanine floors. As it arrives in a component flat-pack form it is easy to transport up narrow and twisting stairs.

The Japan bed is manufactured in a Scandinavian redwood pine, FSC Certified - meaning it comes from managed forests, which has a smooth 'planed' finish in a choice of Natural, free from stain or varnish, the lovely new contemporary and subtle Black Knight and Carob Brown colour wash finishes make your choice from the drop down menu.

The Japan Futon Bed can be purchased as a bed frame only, in a 160 x 200 cm EU King size, you can then add optional tatami mats plus one of our futon mattresses in a choice of fillings to suit your requirements. The optional Tatami Mats drop into the bed frame to give an authentic Japanese style, they are traditional tatami filled with compressed rich straw and covered in woven Igusa (soft rush) with a golden brown tone.

IMPORTANT Note: The mattress size needed for the Japan bed is 200 cm long, if you are buying a futon mattress from us it will be sized to fit, if using a different mattress type please ensure you get a 200 cm length. The Japan Bed is also available in a 140 x 200 cm EU double and 180 x 200 super king size and is shown as an alternative model in our bed range.

Simple home assembly is required, please allow 1 to 1.5 hours.

Availability - 160 size available from stock in Natural, Carob Brown or Black Knight finishes, delivery is 7 to 10 days for frame only or 14 to 21 days for frame and futon mattress combination all on a pre-arranged week day.
