The Osaka Bed is a classic style low-level futon bed. It makes use of clean, straight lines and quality materials to make a product that is durable and un-fussy, a great choice for that classic simple futon bed.
The frame is built using 100% European Redwood Pine, with a natural, untreated finish. It has a slatted base, allowing for good ventilation, as well as a central support bar for extra stability. The natural finish gives your bed a simple, Scandi feel, to fit in multiple different interiors, you may even wish to add your own stain or painted finish for that personal touch.
The Osaka is available in 2 sizes, an 140cm / 4ft6ins double and a 150cm / 5ft king size and with a choice of two head end heights. Please select the size you want in the drop-down menus and view the internal and external bed sizes in the product specification. You can order the Osaka as a simple frame only (to use with you own mattress) or choose from one our three futon mattress options: the traditional lambswool and wool felt mattress, the pocket FutoFlex sprung mattress or the Cocoloc firm futon mattress. Each one is upholstered in your choice of cotton drill fabric.
Overall, this bed is perfect for smaller spaces due to its low-level design. The smaller headboard and footboard will fit comfortably into loft rooms and low-ceiling bedrooms, without overpowering the space.
